HOW DO you safeguard your figurative heart?

This will be answered in a series of Bible-based lectures organized by Jehovah’s Witnesses as part of their worldwide campaign on Bible education.

Check our new look and tell us what you think.

Some 10,000 Jehovah’s Witnesses from Baguio and Benguet will flock to the Athletic Bowl, Baguio City to attend the annual conventions starting on Nov. 2, 2012 and will continue for three consecutive three-day weekends ending on Nov. 18.

For this year, the theme of the convention is ‘‘Safeguard Your Heart!” which will simultaneously be held in 49 cities throughout the country with a combined total of 115 conventions.

The conventions will highlight references to the heart not in the romantic sense but in the Biblical sense. This year’s theme is based on Proverbs 4:23 focusing on strengthening one’s spirituality, according to the statement of the Watch Tower, the legal and corporate arm of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

“It will encourage self-scrutiny and reflection, amounting to a deeper examination of our own figurative heart. It will teach us how to protect our heart which will help us make wise decisions, improve family life, strengthen our personal relationship with God and find true happiness,” the Watch Tower said.

At the Athletic Bowl, the program will be in Iloko on Nov. 2-4 and Nov. 9 to 11; Filipino on Nov. 16-18 and sign language on Dec. 7-9 at the Baguio City National High School.

Jehovah’s Witnesses said they are inviting everyone, including those of other faiths, to attend and “learn more about your heart.”

The program sessions start promptly at 8:20 a.m. in all three days of the conventions. Admission is free as all conventions are supported by voluntary donations.
