Police: Burglars strike Jehovah's Witness Kingdom Hall in Clare County

GRANT TOWNSHIP, MI — Police in Clare County are investigating the recent burglary of a Jehovah's Witness Kingdom Hall.

Around 9 a.m. on Monday, May 6, Clare County Sheriff's deputies responded to a break-in complaint at the Kingdom Hall at 8973 S. Grant Ave. in Grant Township. The culprit or culprits entered the place of worship looking for cash or valuables, deputies said.

Deputies are advising all area churches to take precautions to secure valuables to safeguard against such buildings being targeted by thieves.

The case remains open and investigators are urging anyone with pertinent information to call them through the Clare County Sheriff Smartphone App or by calling them at 989-539-7166.
